Six employees from Collegiate AC, the award-winning student accommodation provider, have been nominated for a student accommodation hero award with Global Student Living (GSL).

National Student Housing Awards Finalist: Student Accommodation Hero 2021

The employees, who work at five different properties in locations across the UK, have all been nominated for how they went above and beyond to make a difference and were chosen by students. The annual nominations came through student feedback in the Global Student Living Index, which powers the National Student Housing Awards.

Reece Bromley from Athena Hall (Ipswich), Daniel McAllister from Dashwood Studios (London), Vicky Froud from Middle Street (Portsmouth), Ben Patrick and Andrew Bell from Park House (Southampton) and Saeed Bawazeer from The Neighbourhood (Cardiff) are all up for the award.

Winners will be announced in September.

Alan Blackmore, Chief Operating Officer for Collegiate AC, comments: “We’re over the moon once again to have some of our employees put forward for this award by the people who matter the most to us, our student tenants.

“Here at Collegiate we pride ourselves on giving the best service and support for our residents to help them get the most out of university life with our award-winning facilities, service and sense of community fostered through our events and communal spaces. To have our people recognised as providing an exceptional service is a great accolade.”

Recognising excellence

We are one of the UK’s leading providers of contemporary student accommodation, with 34 properties in its UK portfolio, providing nearly 9,000 beds across the country. The quality and service that our students receive mean that more than 80% of Collegiate residents rated their accommodation as ‘Good’ or ‘Very Good’ for four years in a row.

The business was awarded the ‘Operator of the Year’ accolade at the Class of 2020 Awards in Berlin for overseeing more than 500 student accommodation projects so far, pioneering many industry practices in terms of design, systems and operations, and for the high quality of both the accommodation and services offered by the company.
